Ever since 1979, when Dr Ho Man-sing first started his teaching career, he began turning each day into a new lesson for himself. With the many years of teaching and experience behind him, coupled with his interest not only in Chinese language education, but also in curriculum research and design, Dr Ho finds immense satisfaction from his research work. He also takes great pleasure in sharing his research findings with prospective and in-service teachers.
At the same time, Dr Ho often edits his own research findings into notes to enhance the quality of teaching.
Dr Ho insists on jogging every morning on campus to keep fit and raise his work efficiency. He participates in 10-km running events every year, regarding them as personal challenges. He sees himself as just an ordinary person who has never tasted success on his first try. To him, his many accomplishments have all been attributable to perseverance and hard work. Therefore, Dr Ho’s regular advice to students is “where there is a will, there is a way.”
