Just like her elder sister Paulina, Zerlina shares the same passion for music. Paulina specialises in vocal music and conducting, while Zerlina has a keen interest in handbells. Zerlina is now the music director of the HKIEd Handbell Team, which is frequently invited to perform in internal and external events.

Zerlina’s love of music developed from her childhood when she was imperceptibly influenced by what she constantly saw and heard.

On the one hand, the young Zerlina frequently heard her elder brother sing English songs while playing the guitar. On the other, Zerlina followed Paulina to church, singing in the choir and playing the piano. Her subsequent piano teacher, who was her elder sister’s boyfriend at that time, is also “part of the family” as he later became her brother-in-law. For Zerlina, blood is as thick as music.
