“Among the various art media, clay has great malleable potential and as such, is a very “candid” material. When creating ceramics, every single step that has not been handled properly will be betrayed eventually.” Miranda emphasises that in the ceramics making process, every step needs to be handled with care, and as such, high concentration is required from the students. She thinks that as prospective teachers who are responsible for educating the next generation, her students must be serious in every single step of their learning.

Soaked with clay, Miranda’s two hands are vivid reflections of the nature of her work. On the one hand, she assists teachers; on the other, she provides students with a professional knowledge in ceramics. The Ceramic Studio is Miranda’s second home. Whenever a student drops by for a “home visit”, she is overwhelmed with pleasure and seeks to “entertain” her guests with the greatest hospitality.
