Student: “Good morning, Brother Keong! Liu jiao bao (croissant) for me, please!“

Brother Keong: “What? Can you say that again?“

Student: “I know, I know...I should say Niu... jiao bao!“

Brother Keong was all smiles when he looked back at all those memorable moments in his past four years, spent at the HKIEd. His impression is that our students “warm up rather slowly”, as it usually takes him some time to get them chatting and befriend him. However, many staff and students see him as a valuable member of the HKIEd family. Since our students are teachers-to-be; Brother Keong thinks that to take this responsibility seriously, they must make themselves good role models for the next generation. Therefore, Brother Keong strongly insists that there should not be any “lazy language” among our students.

Each year, with the advent of November when our annual graduation ceremony is held, Brother Keong has found himself to be a busy bee.

He is, nonetheless, jubilant, as he knows that it is time for our graduates to celebrate their academic accomplishments and to begin a completely new life. As for Brother Keong, his own new life is the running of his own coffee shop. The 10th of July 2008 was therefore his last working day at the Coffee Corner.
