With a father who is an HKIEd assistant professor and a mother who is a secondary school teacher, and having been influenced by her parents all her life, Cherry doesn’t need to think twice about what she wants to become – a teacher.

Of all the people on campus, Cherry respects and likes Ms Tang Ching-yee, her primary one class mistress the most. In Cherry’s mind, Ms Tang is a very kind and friendly teacher to all her students.

Cherry radiates joy when she talks about Ms Tang. When Ms Tang got married two years ago, Cherry, young as she was, not only served as one of the bridesmaids but also acted as MC for the wedding party. Obviously Cherry and Ms Tang enjoy much more than their very close and intimate teacher-student relationship.

“What a coincidence! Ms Tang used to be one of my students, too,” Dr Ngai reveals.
