To better protect your Google accounts, you are strongly advised to enable Google 2-Step Verification. 2-Step Verification, which is similar to MFA on O365 and Duo, adds an extra level of security to protect your accounts in case of password leakage.

Once enabled, you will need to enter your password and provide an one-off code sent separately to your phone via text, voice call or Google mobile app when you log in.
