"Recycling waste paper" is Pui Yee's first attempt to write a short
story. A sense of black humour shines through her work as she describes how
a couple desperately help their son win an award at the school's "Waste
Paper Recycling" campaign. While you cannot help laughing at the seeming
foolishness of the parents, you will not be indifferent to the irony of the
story and its implications for society's quest for fame.

Months ago, Dr Wong Leung-wo invited
Bei-yu to be the team leader of an educational activity organised by the Education
and Manpower Bureau, arranging secondary students to have a walk with literary
writers. Here Bei-yu found inspiration for writing her piece "A Walk
- All About Literature", as she immersed herself in the beautiful scenery
of Tai Mei-tuk, Tolo Harbour and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Wai-ping's vivid and lively account of her childhood experience,
a midnight run from her home to a public toilet located at the end of a corridor
in a public housing estate, is portrayed in detail. The story "Going
to the Toilet" itself is an adventure. As read, you are compelled to
share Wai-ping's terror at the run. WORD(download)
