Eligibility & Application

1. Nomination from home institution
Applicants must be nominated by the home institution to be considered. They are in the education-related discipline with good academic performance. Once shortlisted, the host school may interview the candidate online or by phone. 

2. English Proficiency
Applicants who are not native English speakers will need to fulfil one of the following language requirements and provide documentary evidence when submitting their applications:

3. No Criminal/Sexual Conviction
Prospective student-teachers will need to provide a certificate of no criminal/sexual conviction in English or any lawful documentary proof issued by their home country/city.
 

Interested students are REQUIRED to submit their online application forms and also submit the following documents while you are filling in the form:

• Official Transcript
• TOEFL/IELTS scoresheet or English Proficiency Endorsement Form (Applicable to non-English speakers)
• A certificate of No Criminal Conviction (CNCC) in English or any lawful documentary proof, issued by the countries/cities where you have resided
• A Personal Statement that includes self-introduction, the reasons for applying for teacher training in Hong Kong, and/or further information the applicant sees fit)
• Visa application
