Farewell Party for Incoming Exchange Students in Semester 2, 2023/24
To bid farewell to exchange students, our Global Affairs Office (GAO) organized a Farewell Party for them and their local buddies on April 24. The students had a great time participating in thrilling games and also took the opportunity to write heartfelt messages for one another. We extend our best wishes to all of them for their future endeavors.

AUSEIC Competition on 9-10 Mar 2024
The Knowledge Transfer Suboffice, Global Affairs Office and Student Affairs Office would like to invite you to join the Asian Universities Student Entrepreneurship Ideation Challenge (AUSEIC) Competition, to be held on 9 and 10 March 2024 in the Mong Man Wai Library, C-1/F-01M, Future Early Childhood and Primary Classroom.

Lunar New Year Celebration 2024
Happy Lunar New Year! On 2 Feb, GAO hosted a celebration to welcome the Year of the Dragon. Around 40 students from all around the world celebrated Lunar New Year through dumpling making and Fai Chun writing. Students also received red packets with gold dragon decorations, symbolising good luck. President Prof. John Lee Chi-Kin came by the workshop and gave blessings to the students. It was a joyful night for all!

Orientation & Cantonese Classes for Inbound Exchange Students, Semester 2, 2023-24
Exchange students from 11 countries, together with their local buddies, joined an orientation programme organised by the Global Affairs Office on 5 January 2024. Exchange students learned different facts about EdUHK and Hong Kong through engaging games and informative briefings, followed by campus hunt and Cantonese classes. The newcomers to the city learnt more about the University, local culture and our language.

Farewell cum Christmas Party 2023 for Exchange Students
On December 5, GAO arranged a Farewell cum Christmas Party for 60 exchange students and their buddies. We started the party with a video showing unforgettable memories made during their time here in Hong Kong. There were exciting games that brought everyone together and filled the room with laughter and joy. Students also left heartfelt messages on Christmas cards for each other.

School Visit: EdUHK Jockey Club Primary School
Exchange students visited The Education University of Hong Kong Jockey Club Primary School (JCPS) on 8 Nov 2023. Teachers from JPCS introduced the school and campus in the guided tour. Exchange students are delighted to have a chance to observe a Primary 2 English writing class. They found joy in interacting with the students and left positive feedback on their learning atmosphere. The Principal and exchange students discussed the cultural differences in education at the end of the visit.

Tai Lam Chung Reservoir
In the pleasant autumn weather, exchange students, buddies and international students went hiking around the Tai Lam Chung Reservoir on 15 October 2023. The reservoir is best known as Thousand Island Lake, and is one of the most popular reservoirs in Hong Kong. Students enjoyed a breathtaking panoramic view of the Thousand Island Lake and discovered the beauty of nature in Hong Kong.

Mid-Autumn Festival BBQ Party
On 22nd September 2023, the Global Affairs Office organised the Mid-Autumn Festival BBQ Party. Exchange and local students enjoyed a wonderful barbecue night and played with lanterns by the sea. This was the first Chinese festival exchange students experienced in Hong Kong. They got to know more about the Chinese traditional culture.

Central Tour
Exchange students and their buddies went to the Central District on 9 September 2023. They spent a wonderful Saturday by visiting the Tai Kwun, Central Market and the Hong Kong Observation Wheel. They also tried different local food together and got to know more about Hong Kong and Chinese culture.
