On March 31, Dr. Lucas Kohnke delivered an invited talk at Tarlac State University, Philippines, on the theme Advancing Research Through AI to an audience of over 400 participants.

In his presentation, The Role of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in Teacher Professional Development, Dr. Kohnke explored how educators can redefine their core competencies to remain relevant and effective in the age of AI.

He emphasized three key areas:

1️. Embrace AI literacy: Understand how AI tools work, their strengths, and their limitations.

2️. Focus on higher-order skills: Teach students to question AI-generated content by checking for accuracy, bias, and reliability.

3️. Stay human-centered: Keep real interaction at the heart of learning, where teachers bring creativity, cultural knowledge, and emotional support.
