Care for Pun does not decrease with time. Senior Institute staff have visited him twice, first on 7 May 2004 led by Professor Bernard Luk, Vice President (Academic), Ms Katherine Ma, Director of Communications & Institutional Advancement, Dr Raymond Liu, Head and Dr Li Chung, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physical Education & Sports Science, together with Mr Dennis Koo, Honorary Secretary of the Northcote College of Education Past Students' Association. The second visit was led by Professor Paul Morris, President, together with Ms Katherine Ma on 10 August. Though he did not talk much, the radiance beaming from Pun's eyes is probably the best indication of his encouraging progress. The warm wishes from the community have helped him to re-establish his self-confidence, as Pun himself says, "progress is slow but the achievement is encouraging."
The Institute has set up a "Care Network" for Pun, so that he can communicate with his donors and supporters through e-mail. On the other hand, Pun has also been invited to be the academic advisor for schools administered by Northcote College of Education Past Students' Association, instructing students on their schoolwork.
At the First Assembly, Pun shared with the new student teachers his passion
for teaching. "Get yourself prepared. You will soon find out the satisfaction
you gain in teaching is not comparable to that offered by any other profession."
