To further promote the outbound learning opportunities, Global Affairs Office hosted a Student Exchange Fair on 30 October 2024 to introduce a series of outbound learning programmes in 2024/25. In the Fair, students were inspired by the interactive exhibits, informative live chat sessions with former outbound and current inbound exchange students, creative exchange video broadcasts & exchange stories, etc., which allowed them to explore the fun of various exchange opportunities.
Different booths were set up by regions, namely Asia, Greater China, Europe, North America and Oceania. Our exchange returnees and the inbound exchange students had introduced the outbound learning programmes, and provided first-hand information about the host institutions also with the useful study tips. Students gained insight into application procedures, selection criteria, and possible countries as destination of exchange programmes; many students expressed interest in joining the exchange or summer programmes.
Meanwhile, the Student Exchange Fair has advocated the integration of local and non-local students, which provides a nurturing ground for promoting on-campus Internationalisation. Guests from Mongolia paid a visit to the Fair on that day and they were amazed by our students’ proactiveness in cultural exchange.
Student Exchange Programmes not only enrich students’ learning experience, but also contribute to the Whole Person Development. With no doubt, the event was an excellent opportunity to learn about the thrill of studying abroad.
