Moscow City University, Russia
Following the signing of the memorandum of understanding in November 2023, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) was delighted to welcome the delegation from Moscow City University (MCU) and the Department of Education and Science of Moscow on 2 April 2024.
The discussion between the universities concentrated on the implementation and potential of future classrooms, which support a variety of innovative teaching scenarios, and help create a high-quality learning experience.
The delegation, led by Dr. Igor Remorenko, Rector of MCU and Mr. IIia Ershov, Deputy Head of Directorate for Construction and Reconstruction, Department of Education and Science of Moscow, was warmly welcomed by EdUHK representatives including Prof. John Lee Chi-Kin, President, Prof. May Cheng May-hung, Vice President (Academic), Prof. Chetwyn Chan Che-hin, Vice President (Research and Development) and etc.
After the meeting, a campus tour was offered to the delegates. During the visit, the CAVE demonstration at the library provided experiences such as a VR CAVE application game and LED CAVE 360 video. The delegations enjoyed the visit to the future classrooms and STEAM room and are fascinated by the multifunctional furniture and equipment in the classrooms. The delegates also visited the Hong Kong Museum of Education, where materials related to the history, culture and development of education in Hong Kong were exhibited.
