Evaluation





            Collecting data to evaluate the level of use

            Before assessing the level of use of a teacher, the leader should collect data regarding how the
            teachers use the newly introduced tools. Typical dimensions include—


              Dimension                Description

              Knowledge                Their understanding of the innovation

              Acquiring information    Intention to seek information and materials

              Assessing                Analyse advantages and disadvantages of the innovation

              Planning                 Plans specific actions to coordinate its own use of the innovation

              Status Reporting         Report and explore other innovation in the future



            It is recommended to collect all data using a single measure (e.g. class observation) to maintain
            the consistency of the data.




            Connecting data to improve
            The collected data should be able to facilitate teachers to understand students’ learning and

            academic performance. The leader should make the data accessible to all team members, which
            builds a shared understanding among the team. The leader should also emphasise long-term

            process/planning instead of focusing on short-term results.
