內地跨境及新來港學童的校本支援計劃

My name is Winson Yuen. I am currently an English major student in Shue Yan University. To be honest, even now, I cannot believe that I would be admitted into a university, majoring in English, which was the nightmare subject during my junior years.

I never performed well in English during my early years. I used to have no interest nor motivation in learning about English. Nonetheless, this is a compulsory subject in my studies.

Later on, I encountered a NET teacher who inspired me a lot and who changed me completely. She has shown me the beauty of life as well as of language. She spent all her spare time on me and other poor students to help us catch up with the class, while at the same time giving me an exposure of catastrophic exotic cultures.

I became impressed and fascinated by the diversity of the world we are living in. Thereafter, I realized the importance of learning a foreign language. I wish not to keep this happiness to myself; I wish to pass it on by helping others broaden their horizons, just as my teacher broadened mine.
