內地跨境及新來港學童的校本支援計劃

My name is Ivy. I am in my second year doing the bachelor degree of Education, major in English. I have taught several after school English classes in the past few years, but this is the first time for me to join such kind of School-Based Support Scheme, which is opened for helping the newly arrived students. The reason I joint this scheme is that I want to gain some experiences in teaching newly arrived students from Mainland China. Since Hong Kong was returned to China, there are lots of children from mainland immigrate and study in Hong Kong. To well equip myself as a professional teacher in the future, gaining experiences in teaching newly arrived students is essential to me as well. Though I am only a student teacher, I hope the scheme can benefit the school at the same time.
