內地跨境及新來港學童的校本支援計劃

Hi, I am Wendy. I am an English major student at the Hong Kong Institute of Education. In recent years, I have done a lot of school visits and tutoring work not only in Hong Kong but also in the UK. With the help of our school’s teacher training, I have visited many primary and secondary schools to observe the teaching methods and to analyze their teaching strategies. In addition, I have also done some tutoring work, which offered me the opportunity to communicate with different students while at the same time enabled me to gain teaching experience. In 2007, I went to the UK for three months to improve my level of English proficiency. During the time I was there I also visited some local schools and became more familiar with their way of teaching. It was a precious experience since it has given me the opportunity to compare the different teaching strategies and methods between the UK and Hong Kong. In other words, I benefited a lot from their teaching ideas. I received the Hong Kong Jockey Club scholarship for the years 2006- 2009 and I am prepared to devote myself to education in Hong Kong in the future.
