My name is Qi Yuan, and my English name is Eileen. I came from Jinan in Shandong Province, Mainland China, and I am now a year three student majoring in English at the Hong Kong Institute of Education. My mother tongue is Putonghua, and I passed the Chinese Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers two years ago. In the first semester of year three, I went to Durham University in Britain for the English immersion program, which greatly benefited my English listening and speaking ability. During the last three years, I have valued every opportunity in order to enrich my campus life and gain social experience. Therefore, I hope that I can apply the knowledge and the skills I have obtained and put them to use in an authentic classroom, helping the students to build up their confidence in learning English and gradually improve their English ability.
