Master of Arts in Global Histories of Education [MAGHE]

Preface

Master of Arts in Global Histories of Education [MAGHE]

How has formal schooling become a shared experience of all children all over the world? How have technologies transformed education? Which role have international organisations played in shaping educational policies? How have education systems in China and other Asian countries become the highest performing in the world?

If you are interested in these and related questions, the Master of Arts in Global Histories of Education (MAGHE) is your choice! History of education is an exciting discipline that investigates how education developed over time. It thereby enables you to better understand the education systems of today.

MAGHE is unique because it combines the disciplines of history, history of education and present-focused educational sciences. It puts an emphasis on the modern period since the twentieth century. MAGHE is also unique because it concentrates on China and Asia in a global context.

The programme broadens your professional portfolio as an educator or in related occupations. MAGHE also prepares you for taking up doctoral studies in either education or history.
