Ms Rola Chan Tsz-ying, Year 4 Student from the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Chinese Language) in 2024/25
With the rapid changes in society, I believe that teachers should not only improve their professional quality consistently but also show their creativity to stimulate students' learning motivation. Therefore, I joined EdUHK’s Education And Social Entrepreneurs (EASE) Fund Scheme, using seed funding to establish READily Education Limited, which aims to revitalise language learning through artificial intelligence technology.
In the programme, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the elements of entrepreneurship by learning well-known investors, entrepreneurs, and start-up company management. Meanwhile, in view of the great potential of technological innovation development in the Greater Bay Area, I am grateful to represent my team to visit the Shenzhen Branch of the Hong Kong Science Park and participate in various entrepreneurship workshops to master skills such as speaking and business proposal writing skills, orienting my career towards the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
In addition, I served as a representative to join the Paris Conference on Education and the world-class entrepreneurship boot camp at Cambridge University, understanding the latest curriculum development of digital technology. I could apply what I had learnt to my daily teaching, which was beneficial for students to have a diverse learning experience.
