CHAN Wing Chiu Will, Year-5 student of the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (English Language) (BEd(EL)) (Five-year) programme of the Faculty of Humanities, has recently received the Li Ka Shing Foundation - Scholarship for Field Experience as a recognition of his outstanding field experience performance.
Diagnosed with dyslexia, Will had a difficult time learning to read and write when he was in primary school. Despite the hardship, Will did not give up. He kept trying different ways of study and receiving professional therapy regularly. Luckily, he overcame the disorder and managed to get into the BEd(EL) programme of EdUHK. This year, he will be graduating from the University and he hopes to work as a primary school teacher, teaching the English subject and helping students with special educational needs.
The Faculty of Humanities congratulates Will, and wishes him a promising future, making contribution to the society.
