Students of the Faculty of Humanities Awarded at the HKBU Century Club Citywide Poetry Competition

The organiser has called for submissions from all current full-time undergraduate students enrolled in one of the eight UGC-funded universities. Out of 127 submissions collected, four students of the Faculty of Humanities became the finalists. The first, second, and third-place winners were revealed at the HKBU Century Club Citywide Poetry Reading on 28 April 2019. Year 4 students Sky CLARKE and NG Wing Yee, Janice of the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (English Language) Programme won the second and third prizes of the competition with their works “Mummy Dearest” and “Fish” respectively.
There are four out of the six finalists of the competition from the Faculty of Humanities, and all of them are the students of the Creative Writing course conducted by Mr Nicholas Wong, Lecturer of the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies.
