Dr Angel Ma Qing, Dr Jackie Lee Fung-king, Dr Wang Lixun and Dr Rebecca Chen Hsueh-chu from Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies have just won the 2020 Esperanto "Access to Language Education” Award organised by CALICO, the Esperantic Studies Foundation, and Lernu.net in the USA. Every year, only one website which made unique contribution to language education globally will be the recipient of this prestigious award. Their dedicated website, the Corpus-aided Platform for Language Teachers (CAP) provides a variety of corpus-based resources to transfer the knowledge on corpus linguistics to school teachers as well as the general public facilitating language learning.
The same project team was awarded Silver Medal in International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2019 for the project “Education Linguistics 2.0–The Use of Corpora in Language Teaching”. For details, please visit here.
