8:00 Attended morning assembly and daily morning news.
8:30 Helped to keep kids in line and call up classes. Spoke to late
students.
9:30 Conference with VP and Maths PC. Walked around school and
visited more than 10 classrooms to check on progress and
behaviour.
10:30 Met with clerical and janitorial staff to discuss budget cutbacks.
Took 6 cell phone calls.
11:00 Lunch. Made 3 phone calls.
11:15 Monitored lunch and students’ behaviour as teachers ate. Began
discussion with a teacher about emails that certain teachers were
distributing about some students.
12:00 Back to office to access system emails. Reviewed emails between
employees to determine origination and track progress. Discussed
possible resolution to the problem. Ms. Wong decided to wait until
the next day to address the issue to allow time for her temper to
calm down. Answered other emails regarding various school related
issues.
1:15 Met with students. A parent had called to complain that 2 girls were
calling her daughter nasty names. Girls had also stated that her
daughter was involved in sexual relations with several boys. Met
with all the students individually and then as a group. Discussed
that school is a place to learn and the consequences of what will
happen if the behaviours continue.
2:00 Returned telephone calls to parents.
