Lets us now briefly explore each step

Step 1: Establish an Action Team
                              Includes the following processes:
                              ● identifying the problem.
                              ● building a productive team.
                              ● clarifying the outcomes and values.
                              ● deciding on strategies for building momentum and
sustaining the commitment of the school community.

Step 2: Engage Parents and Community Members
                            Includes the following processes:

                              ● establishing a strategy for engaging parents.
                              ● informing parents of the importance of their
                                   involvement.

                              ● conducting an introductory parents’ meeting (or
                                   series of meetings).
                              ● writing support materials for the parents’ information
                                   and for the parent meeting/s.
                              ● setting timelines / agendas for sustained involvement
of parents in the school plan.
School principals and their staff are able to play a significant
leadership role in enhancing the physical, emotional, and
psychological safety of children. However, schools cannot do
it alone. Bullying can be sustained by what children
experience at home. The combined effort of students,
parents, and community members working together with the
school to create a school-wide plan is needed to develop a
learning community where students and staff feel respected,
and parents and community members have a key role to
                            play.
