Developing a School-Wide Plan
                                    for Bullying Prevention

                          One way of building a strong, positive, anti-bullying culture is by
                          developing a comprehensive school-wide plan for bullying prevention.
                          Such a plan heightens expectations for a positive and respectful school
                          climate, and acts as a springboard for developing a school culture that
                          is bullying-free. Most importantly, it signifies to the total learning
                          community that bullying in all its forms is not tolerated nor condoned
                          by the school.
                          An effective plan:

                          ●    is collaboratively developed;

                          ● creates a shared understanding about the nature of bullying and
                               its effects on all members of the learning community;

                          ●    assists all members to know their role in dealing with bullying;

                          ● provides a range of appropriate prevention and intervention
                               strategies;

                          ● provides a framework for practical action.
