Understanding Your School – Internal Analysis
Understanding Your School – Internal Analysis
The Entrepreneurship Model is an entrepreneur-centric framework developed by Po Chung
and Simon Ip (2009). We adapted the structure and will explain how to fit the framework
into the roles of middle management of schools, also known as edupreneur. It describes
the fundamental qualities that an edupreneur needs and how to build a company.
It is composed of five elements: the 3Cs & edupreneur, garage team, culture & environment,
management tools and services.

The 3Cs & Edupreneur
The edupreneur is the core of the model. It needs to possess a set of minimum root qualities,
which are understood as the inner or intrinsic qualities required in entrepreneurs. Everyone has
these qualities to a lesser or greater degree, but it takes a minimum amount of each of
seven essential qualities to make for a successful edupreneur, including:
1 Competence, character and compassion 5 Courage and stamina
2 Passion, focus, and dedication 6 IQ & EQ
3 Risk tolerance and the 'sleep factor' 7 Luck/blessing factor and health
4 Gut feeling, intuition and common sense
The above qualities will be further discussed in the next phase.
