[9 Nov] Alumni Sharing: The Making of a Scholar: Practical Tips for PhD and Early Career Success
On November 9, 2024, the Graduate School hosted an informative Alumni Sharing session titled “The Making of a Scholar: Practical Tips for Doctoral Students and Early Career Success.” Approximately 40 doctoral students attended the event led by EdD alumni Dr Maxwell Ho, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education Policy and Leadership and Associate Co-Director of the Academy for Educational Development and Innovation and Research Fellow at the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change at EdUHK.
Dr Ho shared his valuable insights on collaborating with supervisors to enhance academic development for doctoral candidates. Drawing from his own academic journey, Dr Ho imparted important lessons and strategies designed to guide and inspire doctoral students as they navigate their paths in academia. Attendees left with practical advice and motivational insights to enrich their experiences and establish a solid foundation for their future academic careers.
