Dr Andy Chin and his team received a silver medal in the Geneva’s Inventions Expo

Dr Andy Chin Chi-on, the Head and Associate Professor of Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies, and an external partner, Mr Ng Chun-yick have received a silver medal in the Geneva’s Inventions Expo held in March 2021. Their project “CanPro – Data driven Cantonese Pronunciation Practice through Common Daily Expressions” developed a language mobile app that helps non-native Cantonese learners practise their pronunciation skills and learn commonly used colloquial Cantonese expressions.  For details, please visit here.
