I am interested in historical and conceptual work related to media, technology, and music education, with a particular emphasis on the enmeshment of music education pedagogy and media for learning (such as the Suzuki Method, Aebersold’s Play-a-Long materials, and early recordings used for music appreciation). I tend to use ideas drawn from sound studies.
