Mr Moses So Chun-hei, Year 4 (Senior Year Entry) Student from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Studies and Digital Communication in 2024/25
During my internship at Ledo Media Limited, I gained valuable experience in marketing and customer relationship management. Initially, I struggled to keep up as my start date was delayed. However, with the help of my supervisor, Raymond, I quickly adapted. Raymond’s advice on not fearing mistakes was particularly inspiring and helped me improve my work tempo.
I discovered a preference for marketing management over data entry. This led me to question the impact of specialised roles on career development. Raymond, an HR expert, explained that while specialisation boosts productivity, it can limit skill diversity, affecting future job prospects.
Communication was initially a challenge, but Mr Ng, a co-founder of the company, encouraged us to interact more, which improved our teamwork. I learned the importance of maintaining good relationships with colleagues for effective collaboration.
A significant challenge was photographing post boxes across various locations. Misunderstandings with senior staff about my tasks were frustrating, but Raymond’s support helped me manage the situation maturely.
I also enhanced my IT skills, particularly in content creation using tools like Canva and Lightroom CC. Overall, this internship was an enjoyable and valuable learning experience, providing me with practical experience. I am grateful for the support and encouragement from Raymond.
