EdUHK Representatives Receives the Baton as the Next Host at AsiaTEFL 2024, Thailand

Six delegates from the English Language Education Department proudly represented EdUHK at the AsiaTEFL International Conference 2024, held at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Thailand, from 15 to 17 November 2024.
The spotlight was on the team as they promoted the upcoming 23rd AsiaTEFL International Conference, which EdUHK will host from 10 to 13 July 2025. In preparation for this significant event, they introduced the conference theme, ‘Care, Innovation, and Sustainability in ELT’, which highlights the importance of fostering empathy, embracing innovative practices, and ensuring sustainable development in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT).
The EdUHK team also took the opportunity to network with educators and researchers from across the globe, exchanging ideas and building connections that will contribute to the success of next year’s event. Additionally, they gathered valuable insights and best practices to ensure the 2025 conference will deliver an enriching and impactful experience for all participants.
EdUHK’s efforts were met with enthusiasm and support, marking an exciting milestone for the University.
During the Closing Ceremony of the conference, the EdUHK team received the baton and was officially named the host of AsiaTEFL 2025.
