The First Faculty Forum of the Faculty of Humanities was held on 1 June 2017 (Thursday) on campus. The purpose of this Forum was to provide an update of the latest development of the Faculty and the departments’ major achievements which could contribute to the KPIs, PIs and other major directions of the University’s ten-year Strategic Plan. All Academic, Teaching, Administrative and Research staff members were invited to join the Forum and exchanged their views on relevant issues.
To align with the University’s strategic development, the Acting Dean, Associate Deans, Heads of the Department of Chinese Language Studies, the Department of English Language Education, the Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies and the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies, and the Associate Head, Centre for Language in Education briefed participants on various areas such as programme development, research, as well as the review and future development of individual units. It is hoped that this kind of exchange platform would help all members keep abreast of the important issues to make a concerted effort for the betterment of the University and the Faculty.
