Emily Wong

- Email: ekwong@eduhk.hk
- Area of study: English Studies and Comparative Literature
About me:
The root of powerful growth paradoxically begins with just a tiny smidgen of an idea; A seed of thought that we plant into the soils of our mind. Water it with faith, bathe it in the illumination of hope, and tend to it consistently with hard work and Voilà – A great towering tree erupts. The origin of change comes from the belief in yourself. Whatever you set your mind to, it will always find its way into your life. You are the author of your own life: Write with passion and fervor. Aside from writing your own novel, no story is complete without the red tie that binds us together: Connection. While we meet people from all walks of life in the most unexpected ways, another way we can meet the whisper of another soul, or the outline of a city long gone is through texts – novels. Serving as portals, novels present the ability to transport us from one period to another. Living a million lives through narratives, I find that I can examine human culture, tradition, and history. Poetry in motion, film also serves as a wonderous text that I can harp on about. Everyone has a story to tell – I would be honored to hear yours!

About me:
Hey there!
I’m Jocelyn, originally from mainland China. The decision to pursue my undergraduate and master’s degrees abroad has made me bilingual in Mandarin and English, and I’ve developed a keen interest in diverse cultures along the way.
I love watching movies, especially horror movies, and I find joy in exploring the world. I’ve visited 10 countries-North Korea is one of the most unique experiences. It’s always fascinating to immerse myself in different environments and perspectives.
I’m a big fan of casual chats and love hearing about people’s stories. So, feel free to drop by and share a bit of your journey with me. Let’s have a conversation – I’m eager to get to know your story!
