The Parameters
Links supports the learning of international school leaders as they work
toward school and system improvement priorities.
The programme is built around four simple design parameters.
It works.
Leaders and schools involved have a clear picture of how the programme benefits
them, their colleagues and ultimately their students. The outcomes produced
must be practical.
It’s user-friendly.
The structure, tasks and processes are ‘doable’ and easily understood.
They work with, not against, the leaders’ school and personal lives. We hope
this happens despite the ‘over-the-top’ jargon used.
It’s stimulating.
The leaders involved want to talk about what they are doing with others in, and
beyond, their schools. What they do produces new questions, new ideas and
new commitments. They enjoy their learning.
It’s unsatisfying.
There are no easy answers, solutions or magic formulas for becoming a
successful leader. involvement in the programme leaves leaders feeling slightly
frustrated – with many unanswered questions. This leads to a thirst for further
learning within, and beyond, the school.
