The Logic
> All students are entitled to an enjoyable and relevant educative
experience that prepares them intellectually and morally to forge a
meaningful place within, and across, cultures and contexts.
> Creative, engaged and effective school leaders are critical if international
schools are to meet their students’ diverse learning needs.
> sustained student success relies on a blend of passionate, strong and
talented teachers working together in and across schools.
> Leadership in its many forms is about influencing student academic and
affective outcomes through and with others, within a challenging,
stimulating, and safe setting.
> successful leadership is therefore a collective as well as an individual
activity. it flows purposefully from and into all corners of the school
by intentional design, tapping into the range of talent, experience and
craft available.
> successful school leaders build their craft through drawing on theirs and
others’ hard-earned experience, good research and a sensitive
understanding of context. This is woven together by an inquiring mind,
the need to learn, firm educative intentions and a healthy dose of
pragmatism.
