Skills for Giving Negative Feedback


                          How to maintain a strong ‘Learning Square’. We know from research
                          that the most effective communicators are those people who are able
                          to convey:

                          ●   Respect

                          ●   Genuineness
                          ●   Empathy

                          By  respect  we mean that we really believe that the other person is
                          worthwhile in her/his  own right. Her/his values and ways of doing
                          things may differ from ours but they have a value and warrant being
                          taken seriously.
                          By genuineness we mean being ourselves, not hiding behind facades,
                          accepting and, where necessary, making explicit any differences in the
                          roles between us openly.
                          By empathy we mean the ability at least for a moment to put ourselves
                          in the shoes of the other person and see the world as she/he sees it.
