Physical Education Section, Education Bureau commissioned the Hong Kong Institute of Education to host the Summer School for PE Teachers 2011 with the project theme "360° Promotion of Healthy Living among Students". It aims to share with PE teachers innovative and relevant curricular practices, pedagogy and assessment. Following the successful organisation programme in 2006 (with the theme Assessment Literacy: Theories and Practices), 2007 (Catering Learner Diversity), 2008 (Nurturing Creativity and Critical Thinking Skills through Physical Education), and 2009 (Social cultural aspects of physical education) and 2010 (Nurturing Physically Educated Citizens, a Key to Whole Person Development), the Department of Health and Physical Education, the Hong Kong Institute of Education would adopt the project theme of "360° Promotion of Healthy Living among Students".
