EdUHK Shines at QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024
Professor Chetwyn Chan, Vice President (Research and Development), led a delegation at the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024, held from November 5 to 7, 2024, in Macau. The delegation included the Dean of the Graduate School, Professor Michelle Gu Mingyue, GS colleagues, and Faculty representatives.
EdUHK was recently recognised for excellence in teaching, research, and facilities by being awarded a ‘5-star institution’ rating in the QS Stars rating system. EdUHK President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin and Professor Chan accepted the award at the Gala Dinner of the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024.
Throughout the three-day event, EdUHK representatives participated in seminars and panel discussions and networked with representatives from other institutions. EdUHK’s participation in the event underscores a commitment to fostering global academic exchange and engaging with other leading stakeholders about emerging trends in higher education.
In a panel discussion on micro-credentials, Professor Lee emphasised the importance of integrating "micro-mastery" skills into the education system to boost employability. He noted that such initiatives are essential for promoting lifelong learning, personal and professional development, and contributing to a sustainable and inclusive future.
