On the completion of this Minor, students will be able to:

• gain proficient knowledge and basic abilities in Music;
• demonstrate a general knowledge in Music and related academic competencies to meet their future needs; and
• develop a passion and lifelong learning in Music.

15 cps (3 cps/course)

All Miniors will not lead to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Teaching practice or immersion/internship will not be arranged/ involved for students of Miniors.

• Students who take Music as a Minor are required to choose any five out of the six courses.
• When you have completed all the prescribed credit points for registering a Minor (or two Minors), you are required to declare the Minor(s) with the Registry in the final semester (within two weeks after the add/drop period according to the Academic Calendar of the respective academic year) of your study. Online declaration form and details can be found via The Portal (under 'Second Major/Minor(s)' on the left panel of the homepage).

Any aspect of the course offerings (including, without limitation, the content of the course and the manner in which the course is taught) may be subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of the University. Without limiting the right of the University to amend the course and its course offerings, it is envisaged that changes may be required due to factors such as staffing, enrolment levels, logistical arrangements, curriculum changes, curriculum changes, and other factors caused by unforeseeable circumstances. Tuition fees, once paid, are non-refundable.
