The trend towards e-learning and integrated teaching has been growing in recent years, and CLE is committed to keeping pace with these developments. We have been actively producing multimedia teaching videos that cover a wide range of topics related to Chinese and Cantonese knowledge. The aim is to present this information in a way that is engaging and easy to understand, thereby attracting students and members of the public to watch and learn.
Our videos cover a variety of topics, including Chinese in the workplace, Chinese idioms, Cantonese pronunciation, and promoting Chinese reading. These topics are chosen for their relevance to real-life situations, and we hope that by presenting this knowledge in an accessible way, we can encourage people to take an interest in learning more about Chinese and Cantonese.
In addition to language knowledge, our center also incorporated life education into our videos. We have invited outside professionals or retired experts to have online dialogues with our EdUHK teachers and students on topics such as life, aging, illness, and death. These dialogues were intended to explore the value and meaning of life, and to promote intergenerational harmony and communication in the local community.
By producing these videos, we hope to contribute to the ongoing trend towards e-learning and integrated teaching, and to help people develop good habits of independent learning that will serve them well throughout their lives.
