The Second ‘Thirty-Cent Novels’ Academic Conference, organised by the Research Centre for Chinese Literature & Literary Culture (RCCLLC) on 11 August, 2023, witnessed a remarkable turnout of scholars, researchers, and enthusiasts from various fields. With the theme ‘Connections’, the event explored the interplay between thirty-cent novels and different research perspectives, and offered an invaluable platform for scholars to present their findings and to engage in insightful debates and thought-provoking discussions. By creating a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, the conference fostered connections not only between scholars but also between different cultures and regions. It served as a catalyst for collaboration, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the exploration of new avenues in the study of thirty-cent novels.
