Delegation from Yunnan Normal University Visited the Centre for Language in Education

The Centre for Language in Education (CLE) is honoured to have received the delegation from Yunnan Normal University for a visit on 14 December 2023. The visiting team comprised four scholars from the Department of Education, including Prof Yang Bin, Dr Ma Jinjing, Dr Feng Liting, and Dr Li Xiaochuan. During this visit, the CLE introduced its trilingual language enhancement courses and various language and cultural activities to the delegation while sharing its future plans for language education development. This visit provided a valuable opportunity for both parties to exchange experiences and perspectives in the field of language education.

GloMED Project with the University of Lapland (Finland)
The Education University of Hong Kong has been partnering with the University of Lapland for three years on the Global Media Education (GloMED) project (https://glomed.webnode.fi/) funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education. The Project Team comprised Dr Satu-Maarit Korte (Principal Investigator), Prof Pigga Keskitalo and Prof Mari Maasilta from the University of Lapland, and President Prof John Lee Chi-Kin (Principal Investigator), Prof Kong Siu-cheung, Dr William Cheung Man-yin, FHM staff Dr Lau Chaak-ming, Dr Wang Lixun, and Prof Michelle Gu Mingyue from The Education University of Hong Kong.

GHMUA for Chinese Language Education Inauguration Ceremony cum First Forum
The Education University of Hong Kong hosted an inauguration ceremony of the ‘Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Higher Education Chinese Language Education Alliance’ on 14 September 2023, and the ‘Chinese Language Education Forum for Higher Education Institutions in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao’ was held on 15 September 2023, which focused on the theme ‘Exchange, Collaboration, and Resource Sharing’.
