Yip Hong Yee Connie, Year 3 Student from Bachelor of Education (Honours) (English Language) in 2022/23
Through joining different activities at the EdUHK, I have met lots of kindred spirits, gained numerous life experiences, and broadened my horizons.
By joining the student association, I have learned the importance of getting along with people, as well as the skills of organising events. Since none of our cabinet members had joined any orientation camps or activities before, we had to search online on our own at the beginning stage of the preparation. Fortunately, we received help from the senior students and thus understood the ways and precautions to take for organising events. It made us more confident and enthusiastic. Moreover, I have learned to express my ideas and listen to others with a suitable attitude. I understood the importance of cooperation as it is the key to success.
EdUHK also offers many activities, encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone and meet more friends. For example, I once participated in a cultural exchange activity held on campus. Students from different countries, religions, and languages were invited to set up booths to promote their culture. By attracting students to participate in games, participants learned about different cultures, which enhanced cultural integration.
