Student Sharing of the Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Chinese Language) – Peers Teaching Demonstration

The Bachelor of Education (Honours) (Chinese Language) (BEd[CL]) organised an online Programme Assembly on peers teaching demonstration on 25 February 2020. It was conducted by two BEd(CL) Year 5 students who had excellent FE performance in primary and secondary schools respectively. Their FE supervisors were also invited to comment on and share with the participants their observations, experiences and good practices of the student teachers. Here are the reflections from the student teachers:

“The BEd(CL) Peers Teaching Demonstration allows professional exchanges among prospective teachers. Speakers may demonstrate various teaching approaches, methods, techniques and strategies via this platform. I used to be one of the members of the audience benefited greatly by my seniors’ generous sharing. It is my honour to share my teaching experience this year. I believe that the teaching demonstration would help prepare my juniors for the challenges ahead. I wish them the best of luck in achieving excellence in teaching. The demonstration is meaningful to me. It reminds me that pursuing new knowledge is crucial to teacher professional development. “Thanks again for inviting me to participate in the 'Peer Teaching Demonstration' and let me share the teaching experience with the schoolmates who will conduct block practice soon. I am very grateful to Dr Cheung Sau Hung and Dr Ho Chi Hang for their precious comments which help me make further improvements in my teaching.
