Organized by the Education Bureau (EDB) and co-organized by the Department of Literature and Cultural Studies, the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), the Finals and Award Ceremony of the 2021/22 Territory-wide Junior Secondary Quiz Competition on Chinese History and Culture is held today (11 June 2022). The competition aims to promote and raise the enthusiasm of junior secondary school students in Hong Kong in learning Chinese history and culture. By competing against each other, students can learn and encourage one another. Through the competition, students can build a strong moral character, broaden their horizons, and continue to pass on the Chinese culture.

「公民」（citizenship）既是身分、權利，亦帶來義務和責任的約束。香港政府近年大力加強價值觀教育，而「公民」正是價值觀不可或缺的一環。另一邊廂，由於生活與數碼環環相扣，「數碼公民」（digital citizenship）一詞應運而生。究竟甚麼是數碼公民呢？數碼公民在教育的角色又是甚麼？

二○一九年夏天，我和家人在馬達加斯加旅行，遇到三個亞洲遊客，我們開始用英語寒暄起來。一番交談之後，發現其中一位是韓國人、一位是菲律賓人、一位是新加坡人。令人覺得有趣的不是我們的談話內容，而是我們來自四個不同亞洲國家的人，身處一個非洲國家，只能用英文交流，因為這是我們唯一的共通語言。
