Why blue skies

                           Beginning Principals can feel isolated and a little lonely in their new
                           jobs. Even though they already hold stores of valuable knowledge,

                           they know they have much to learn but are unsure when, how or
                           where to access this learning. As a result, learning can be
                           fragmented and formless. We believe one way to learn is through a
                           structured, supportive programme built upon principal collegiality,

                           up-to-date knowledge, shared experience and networking.

                           Blue skies aims to work with Beginning Principals to:
                                continue their principalship on a positive note;

                                clarify what is important about their school and principalship;

                                engage in ongoing professional learning within a supportive
                                yet challenging collegial environment.

                            Blue skies uses the latest international and local research about
                            Beginning Principals, including the type of support they desire, how
                            they learn most effectively and how they approach their jobs.
