Dr. Pei Qing, Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Sciences, The Education University of Hong Kong, has won the Second Class Award in the category of Natural Science from the Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards (Science and Technology) by the Ministry of Education of China in 2019. This prestigious award is established by the Ministry of Education of China to recognize exceptionally outstanding breakthrough in scientific research and technological innovation nationwide.
The award-winning research project named “Quantitative Analysis of Climate Change and Human Crises in History” was conducted by Dr. Pei with his team members namely Professor David D. Zhang from Guangzhou University; Dr. Harry F. Lee from CUHK; Professor Cong Wang from Jinan University; and Dr. Jinbao Li from HKU. Their research findings have been published in some top journals and contributed significant impacts to the field of climate change research.
裴卿博士，香港教育大學社會科學系助理教授，獲得了國家教育部「2019年度高等學校科學研究優秀成果獎（科學技術）」（自然科學二等獎）。該獎項是國家教育部設立的科技專項獎，面向全國高等院校表彰在科學研究和技術進步等方面的突出貢獻。
