Professor Anthony Cheung’s new book on COVID-19 and crisis management
Professor Anthony B.L. Cheung, Adjunct Research Chair Professor of Public Administration, has recently published a new book on COVID-19 and crisis management.
In this book, Professor Cheung points out that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about not only a crisis for Public Health, but also knock-on effects on the social, economic, and political fronts.
The book is divided into three parts: how COVID-19 evolved into a global crisis from an initially unidentified virus, the response strategies adopted by various countries/regions, and the ups and downs in battling the pandemic in Hong Kong. Professor Cheung concludes with some observations on the experiences and lessons learnt across the globe.
