Empowering Social Sciences Students through LinkedIn: Shaping Future Careers
A selected group of students of our Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Social Entrepreneurship and Development Studies students recently had the privilege of visiting the LinkedIn Hong Kong office. This visit was designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of LinkedIn's role in the professional ecosystem and the ways they can utilize LinkedIn Learning to refine the skills crucial for their future careers.
Introduced by Mr Ivan Wong, Head of Government and Academic, students were exposed to the transformative role of LinkedIn as a key professional networking platform. They gained a nuanced understanding of how LinkedIn has revolutionized the methods professionals use to network, collaborate, and explore career opportunities.
As part of our commitment to preparing students for the dynamic workforce in the future. The BSocSc(SEDS) programme team has meticulously crafted learning paths for our first-year students that focus on building a diverse, comprehensive skill set, preparing them to meet future work challenges with confidence.
Through this strategic engagement with LinkedIn and its resources, our goal is to provide our students with the knowledge and tools they'll need to excel in their future careers.
